«Poliom» employees will brush up the industrial safety skills in a new classroom
A new classroom will be arranged at the Omsk Polypropylene Plant (the joint venture of GC «Titan», «Gazprom Neft» and SIBUR). In October, there was delivered a domestic computer-based simulator complex, thanks to which more than 200 employees will brush upbehavioral skills in a different cases.
The complex will help employees of the enterprise to establish and improve the necessary firm skills of process control in any conditions. In general, it will allow improving the common level of environmental and industrial safety of the production. The similar training simulators are used at the leading oil-refineries and petrochemical enterprises in Russia and all over the world.
The complex includes workstations, servers, network equipment, as well as software for modeling the production technological scheme, which includes the production process emulator and the interface of the existing control system.
The training simulator is able to imitate failures of various equipment and tools, for instance, pumps, compressors, valves or gages, as well as emergency situationsrelated to commissioning of new devices, suspension of the supply of raw material, steam or catalyst, etc. A set of exercises is fully adjusted to the production process at the plant «Poliom». As an option, the designers also addedthe possibility of expanding the list of situations and changing itscharacteristics. Remote task assignment and results evaluation will be available for the technical specialists.
In mid-October, two representatives of the designer company from St. Petersburg arrived at the site. Within one and a half months they will carry out installation and adjustment of the system. Firstly, the Software Engineers of the plant «Poliom» will get complex operating skills. Then, the operating staff of the LPGprocessing, storage and shipment workshop and polypropylene production workshop (in total more than 200 people) will undergo training at the complex.
